Conprofe Delivers Ultrasonic 5-Axis Gantry Machines to Aviation Leaders – Unlocking Efficient, Eco-Friendly Metal Cutting
June 23, 2026 2:50 pmAt Conprofe, we are proud to announce the continued delivery of our proprietary Ultrasonic-Green 5-Axis Gantry Machining Centers (Model BRG & BBF) to leading customers in the aviation sector. This milestone underscores our commitment to providing efficient, sustainable, and domestically produced solutions for machining critical aviation components—ranging from flap tracks and stringers to frame parts and complex structural airframe sections.
Meeting Stringent Aviation Application Requirements
The Ultrasonic-Green High-Precision Heavy-Duty 5-Axis Gantry Machining Center BBF4525-5AXIS is engineered for difficult-to-cut metals including titanium alloys, ultra-high-strength steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys. Its fixed-beam, fixed-column gantry structure ensures exceptional rigidity and accuracy, while the high-torque (1,000 N·m+) high-precision A/C swivel head enables powerful milling, roughing/finishing, and rapid hole-drilling on complex contoured surfaces, internal cavities, and ribs—all in a single setup.
Technology Integration That Makes a Difference
What sets this platform apart is the seamless integration of three proprietary Conprofe technologies, flexibly combinable based on application needs:

Intelligent Ultrasonic Machining System– By applying high-frequency vibration (tens of thousands of cycles per second) to the rotating tool, the periodic tool-workpiece separation is achieved. This improves chip evacuation, enhances coolant penetration, and delivers a 46% reduction in cutting forces compared to conventional methods. The result: superior surface quality, extended tool life, and improved process consistency.

Supercritical CO₂ Cryogenic Cooling (Optional) – Transforming supercritical CO₂ into a –78°C cryogenic stream of dry ice particles and gaseous CO₂, this technology rapidly absorbs heat at the cutting zone. It delivers a 42% reduction in cutting temperature, dramatically improving thermal management, reducing tool wear, and enabling greener, chemical-free processing.

Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) – Our advanced MQL system atomizes lubricant into micron-sized mist (≥1μm) delivered through the spindle with a response time of ≤0.1s. It achieves a 31% reduction in friction coefficient, consumes only 5–30 ml/h of oil per tool, and produces zero liquid waste—fully biodegradable and environmentally responsible.
Ensuring Process Stability with Closed-Loop Control

To guarantee consistent ultrasonic performance, the BBF4525-5AXIS is equipped with Conprofe’s in-house Ultrasonic Amplitude Closed-Loop Control System, comprising the CNC controller, ultrasonic generator, and real-time ultrasonic amplitude measuring device. This system presets target amplitude and frequency, monitors actual amplitude during processes, and dynamically adjusts power and frequency to compensate for tool wear or changes in cutting conditions. The result: stable, repeatable ultrasonic action and instant feedback for any anomalies—critical for aviation-quality tolerances.
Proven Delivery and Scalable Production
Multiple machines tailored to diverse machining scenarios have already been shipped to customer sites. These deliveries demonstrate not only market trust in Conprofe’s Ultrasonic-Green CNC solutions, but also our mature manufacturing capability and serial production readiness—a key differentiator for aviation suppliers who demand both innovation and reliability at scale.
Conprofe will continue to invest heavily in R&D for Ultrasonic-Green CNC solutions. By combining high-performance equipment with customized application support, we aim to tackle ever-more-challenging workpiece materials and complex geometries. Our goal remains clear: to empower the high-end manufacturing industry with cost-effective, domestically developed alternatives that reduce environmental footprint while boosting productivity.
